Within Augusta County’s sprawling 1,000 miles, many industry clusters are concentrated around geographic assets. Mill Place Commerce Park is the county-owned commerce park situated in the center of the County and built around a strong commerce and industrial cluster at the intersection of Interstates 81 and 64. Stuarts Draft, with ample water and sewer capacity and large land parcels, has developed as a major processing and manufacturing cluster. Augusta County’s emerging life sciences cluster, LifeCore, is anchored by Augusta Health hospital and the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences in Fishersville. In the northernmost part of the County, an aviation cluster has developed around the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport.
