Rebekah Castle is responsible for attracting new business and investments to the County as well as strong retention of existing businesses within the County. She specializes in marketing initiatives in economic development as well as tourism. Prior to her current position, Rebekah served as the Marketing Coordinator for the department.

Rebekah is a member of the Virginia Economic Developers Association, Southern Economic Development Council, International Economic Development Council, Shenandoah Valley Partnership Lead Generation Committee, and the Shenandoah Valley Tourism Partnership Marketing Committee.

Prior to joining Augusta County, Rebekah served as the Events Coordinator for the Shenandoah Valley Partnership. Rebekah earned a B.S. in Communication Studies from Bridgewater College in 2004. She is a Shenandoah Valley native.

Gary Corder, Economic Development & Tourism Project Manager

Gary serves as the Project Manager for the Augusta County Economic Development & Tourism department. Responsible for project planning and implementation, Gary works to aid the department and community to cultivate a diverse economy that helps business and tourism initiatives grow.

Gary is a member of the Virginia Economic Developer’s Association. He is also a member of the Shenandoah Valley Partnership Lead Generation Committee.

Prior to joining Augusta County, Gary held a management position with Martin’s Groceries and has experience in logistics distribution. He also completed an internship with the City of Harrisonburg City Manager’s office.

Gary earned a B.S. in Health Science with a minor in Pre-Dentistry from James Madison University (JMU). He is now working on his Master’s Degree in Business Administration, also at JMU, and resides in Grottoes with his family.
